“#Peacemaker: Three Join Suicide Squad Spin-Off Series<\/a> on HBO Max<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Peacemaker<\/i>, the upcoming HBO Max series, has added three to its cast. Nhut Le, Elizabeth Faith Ludlow and Rizwan Manji have all been added to the cast which already includes John Cena.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

No details were released about the characters played by Ludlow and Manji on the HBO Max series, per Deadline<\/a>. But, a separate Deadline<\/a> report revealed that Le would play Judomaster.<\/p>\n

The character has app<\/a>eared three times before in various projects:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first Judomaster premiered in Special War Series #4 back in November 1965, created by\u00a0Joe Gill\u00a0and\u00a0Frank McLaughlin. Originally known as Hadley \u201cRip\u201d Jagger, he was a sergeant in the World War II U.S. Army.\u00a0 The Charlton Comics character was ultimately sold to DC. A different Judomaster was created by\u00a0Paul Kupperberg and artist Michael Collins for Justice League \u00a0Quarterly\u00a0#14 (1994), in which the new Judomaster assists Blue Bettle, Captain Atom and Nightshade in joining Peter Cannon\u2019s battle against Andreas Havoc.\u00a0 There was also a female Judomaster, Sonia Sato, who was part of the Birds of Prey (#100 in 2007).\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This upcoming TV show is a spin-off of The Suicide Squad<\/i> sequel film from James Gunn, currently set for release on August 6th<\/strong>. This streaming series is \u201ccentering on John Cena\u2019s mercenary character, who believes in peace at any cost \u2014 no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.\u201d<\/p>\n

A premiere date for the Peacemaker<\/em> series has not been set.<\/p>\n
