The move followed a 1.2% gain on Monday. Prices climbed Friday, after dropping more than 2% Thursday to its lowest finish since late November.<\/p>\n<p> March silver<br \/>\n        SIH21,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/211961204\/delayed\" class=\"negative\">-0.95%<\/bg-quote><\/p>\n<p>        SI00,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210315219\/delayed\" class=\"negative\">-0.95%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       meanwhile, edged down by 17 cents, or 0.6%, at $27.402 an ounce, after it rose 2.1% in the prior session. <\/p>\n<p>A slight retrenchment in equities Tuesday and a retreat in the U.S. dollar, along with steadiness in yields for U.S. Treasurys provided some support for gold, commodity experts said. <\/p>\n<p>Gold\u00a0and silver futures prices traded firmer  \u201cas a weaker U.S. dollar index and a pause in the U.S. stock market rally are giving the metals bulls some strength,\u201d wrote Jim Wyckoff, senior analyst at Kitco.com, in a daily research note.<\/p>\n<p>Some dealers also speculated that a recent rise in bitcoin, reignited by an announcement by electric vehicle maker Tesla Inc. TSLA that it had purchased $1.5 billion of the cryptocurrency, was also putting pressure on the U.S. currency and thereby buttressing gold.  <\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin<br \/>\n        BTCUSD,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/31322028\/realtime\" class=\"positive\">+5.31%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       on Tuesday hit a record above $48,000. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the U.S.  dollar was down 0.4% on Tuesday and has declined by about 0.5% so far this week, gauged by the ICE U.S. Dollar Index<br \/>\n        DXY,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210598269\/delayed\" class=\"negative\">-0.44%<\/bg-quote><span>.<\/span>\n       <\/p>\n<p>A weaker dollar can make assets priced in the currency comparatively more expensive to overseas buyers. <\/p>\n<div id=\"cx-membership-tile\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cMore and more it <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ears that bitcoin is gaining credibility among the veteran market watchers that may have been early naysayers to the cryptocurrency asset class,\u201d Wyckoff said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt appears that safe-haven\u00a0gold\u00a0and silver may be gaining some buying interest from the bitcoin surge this week, possibly due to notions the growing move by investors into bitcoin as an asset class will take away some of the allure of the U.S. dollar being what many consider the ultimate safe-haven asset,\u201d the analyst said. <\/p>\n<p>Among other Comex-traded metals, March copper<br \/>\n        HGH21,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210055581\/delayed\" class=\"positive\">+1.36%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       rose 1.5% to $3.72 a pound.
