Michelle Obama<\/strong> is hosting a brand new children\u2019s cooking show on Netflix, with the help of some adorable little puppets. The former first lady is launching\u00a0Waffles + Mochi<\/em><\/strong>, a 10-episode series<\/a> that aims to introduce children to food from all around the world.<\/p>\n

Michelle Obama will be stepping in front of the camera as the host of\u00a0Waffles + Mochi<\/em>, the latest project under her and former President Barack Obama\u2019s partnership with Netflix. While the pair have mostly produced the titles through their production banner\u00a0Higher Ground, Obama will be putting on her hosting hat for\u00a0Waffles + Mochi<\/em>, a 10-episode series developed by showrunners\u00a0Erika Thormahlen and Jeremy Konner.
\n\u201cI\u2019m beyond thrilled to share that on March 16, I\u2019ll be launching a new show on Netflix\u00a0called Waffles + Mochi!\u201d Obama announced on Twitter<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m excited for families and children everywhere to join us on our adventures as we discover, cook, and eat delicious food from all over the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Waffles + Mochi<\/em>\u2018s episodes will all be 20 minutes long, and looks to feature some\u00a0Blues Clues<\/em>-style food education, based on the first-look images released by Netflix below. While it\u2019s unusual to see Michelle Obama in front of the camera to this extent, it\u2019s in line with the former first lady\u2019s long-documented advocacy for healthy eating<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thormahlen, Konner, and Barack and Michelle Obama executive produce\u00a0Waffles + Mochi<\/em> alongside\u00a0Tonia Davis and Priya Swaminathan. The cooking show also features a wide cast of puppeteers including\u00a0Michelle Zamora (Waffles), Russ Walko (Mochi and Intercommy), Jonathan Kidder (Busy), Diona Elise Burnett (Steve the Mop and voice of Magicart), Taleia Gilliam (Shelfie), Andy Hayward (puppet swing), Piotr Michael (voice of Mochi), George Konner (voice of Intercommy).
