A historic Krispy Kreme store owned by Shaquille O\u2019Neal was burned to a Krisp in Georgia early Wednesday \u2014 but the hoops legend is promising a quick rebound.<\/p>\n

Videos showed flames ripping through the Atlanta store that has been a landmark for more than 60 years, and was bought by the doughnut-loving sports legend in 2016.<\/p>\n

\u201cYoooo @SHAQ your Donut shop on fire cuz,\u201d one local tweeted<\/a> as he shared video of the huge blaze that started around 1 a.m.<\/p>\n

Two employees escaped uninjured from what Atlanta Fire Rescue called \u201ca fast moving fire\u201d that \u201cgutted the building<\/a>.\u201d The cause is not yet known, but firefighters were still tackling \u201chot spots\u201d more than six hours later.<\/p>\n

Shaq \u2014 who was already a global spokesperson for the doughnut franchise when he bought the iconic location<\/a> \u2014 refused to be blocked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope no one was hurt and we will bounce back better than ever,\u201d he told 11Alive <\/a>with a befitting basketball-inspired pun.<\/p>\n

His store first opened in the spring of 1965 and was one of Krispy Kreme\u2019s first locations outside its main bases of operation in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Nashville, Tennessee. It was also famed for its \u201cHot now\u201d sign out front.<\/p>\n

After Martin Luther King Jr.\u2019s funeral in April 1968, the Krispy Kreme fed mourners by donating 150 dozen donuts to Atlanta churches, 11Alive noted.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
