Donald Trump will never tweet again.<\/p>\n

The former president\u2019s ban from Twitter is permanent and will not be lifted even if he runs for office in the future or even wins back the White House, according to a top executive at the social network.<\/p>\n

In an interview with CNBC, the company\u2019s chief financial officer Ned Segal said the platform will not lift Trump\u2019s suspension that was enacted after the company cited his alleged role in inciting the deadly insurrection at the US Capitol on Jan 6.<\/p>\n

In response to a direct question on Trump\u2019s chances of getting his account back if he sought and won another election, Segal was explicit.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re removed from the platform, you\u2019re removed from the platform,\u201d he said. \u201cRemember, our policies are designed to make sure that people are not inciting violence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Segal also pushed back against the perception that Trump\u2019s absence has been bad for Twitter\u2019s business model, stating that the company added more users in January than it had in the previous four Januarys.<\/p>\n

Twitter stock was up almost 12 percent in early trading Wednesday.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
