Cook would be the first Black woman on the Fed board.<\/p>\n<p> There\u2019s currently an open seat on the Fed. Last week, Biden formally withdrew<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/usa-biden-shelton\/biden-withdraws-judy-sheltons-nomination-as-fed-board-member-idUSL1N2KA3BP\" class=\"icon none\"> the nomination of Judy Shelton<\/a>, a controversial nominee of former President Donald Trump who never mustered enough Senate support to be <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roved.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       Cook is considered dovish, according to Axios, focused more on economic growth and development than inflation. The U.C. Berkeley- and Oxford-educated Cook served on former President Barack Obama\u2019s Council of Economic Advisers from 2011-2012.
