{"id":175617,"date":"2021-02-11T08:51:57","date_gmt":"2021-02-11T05:51:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/traffic-to-binance-surges-to-record-highs-site-goes-down-for-maintenance\/"},"modified":"2021-02-11T08:51:57","modified_gmt":"2021-02-11T05:51:57","slug":"traffic-to-binance-surges-to-record-highs-site-goes-down-for-maintenance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/traffic-to-binance-surges-to-record-highs-site-goes-down-for-maintenance\/","title":{"rendered":"# Traffic to Binance surges to record highs, site goes down for maintenance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong># Traffic to Binance surges to record highs, site goes down for maintenance <\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content\" data-v-5a136f3a>Leading crypto asset exchange Binance was forced to suspend its spot and margin trading services just a few minutes after its CEO took to <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> to boast the platform had smoothly handled new record highs for website traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Binance chief executive Changpeng Zhao, or CZ, tweeted the exchange had experienced a new all-time high for traffic on Feb.10, stating the platform had \u201chandled the load\u201d of a 60% increase in traffic on top of the previous day&#8217;s record traffic.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>CZ also noted that new user sign-ups had tagged record highs: \u201cNew account registrations are still open, not sure for how long.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2021-02\/cbc09a08-d662-41f4-ba56-b03f14b6bd7e.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>CZ&#8217;s now-deleted Feb. 11 tweet<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The tweet has since been deleted, with Binance <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.binance.com\/en\/support\/announcement\/7eee583e3d2346d5ac78682ac8ec9a48?ref=JLI1VBLA&amp;utm_source=BinanceTwitter&amp;utm_medium=GlobalSocial&amp;utm_campaign=GlobalSocial\">publishing<\/a> a \u201cnotice of temporary system maintenance\u201d roughly 30 minutes later. The exchange returned to normal operations roughly one hour after the notice was issued.<\/p>\n<p>Only futures trading was able to continue operating as usual, with the exchange announcing it had \u201csuspended deposits, withdrawals, spot and margin trading, P2P trading, OTC Portal trading, savings &amp; redemption, as well as asset transfers from sub-accounts, margin accounts, futures accounts, and fiat wallets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CZ issued a follow-up tweet lamenting his original post after Binance\u2019s maintenance notice had been published:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Disk issue with one cluster.
