If you use Miracast to project another device\u2019s screen to your Windows PC, you might be surprised to learn that starting with the May 2020 update, the Connect app is no longer included with Windows 10 by default. Luckily, you can still download it from Microsoft. Here\u2019s how.<\/p>\n

First, open Settings. To do so quickly, click the \u201cgear\u201d icon in your Start menu or press Windows+i on the keyboard.<\/p>\n

In \u201cSettings,\u201d click \u201cApps.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"In<\/p>\n

In \u201cApps & features,\u201d click \u201cOptional features.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"In<\/p>\n

In \u201cOptional features,\u201d click \u201cAdd a feature,\u201d which has a square plus (+) button beside it.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/p>\n

When the \u201cAdd an optional feature\u201d window appears, scroll down until you find \u201cWireless Display.\u201d Place a checkmark beside it, then click \u201cInstall.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Wireless Display feature includes that Connect app that was once part of Windows 10 by default.<\/p>\n

After that, you\u2019ll return to the \u201cOptional features\u201d screen and see a progress bar as \u201cWireless Display\u201d downloads and installs. When it\u2019s done, it will say \u201cInstalled.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Connect app is now installed. To launch and\u00a0use the Connect app, open your Start menu, type \u201cConnect,\u201d then select the Connect app from the list.<\/p>\n

The Connect app will open, and your Windows 10 PC will be ready to receive a remote video connection. Happy wireless projecting!<\/p>\n
