“#Clone High, Velma, Fired on Mars: HBO Max Orders Three Adult Animated Series<\/a><\/strong>”<\/p>\n

HBO Max is adding three shows \u2014 Fired on Mars, Clone High<\/em> (above), and Velma<\/em> \u2014 to its slate of adult cartoon series. The streaming service already offers\u00a0 Harley Quinn,\u00a0 The Prince, Santa Inc., 10 Year Old Tom,<\/em> and The Boondocks<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Two of these new series will sound a little familiar.\u00a0 Clone High<\/em> (which has received a two-season order) is a reboot of the 2002-03 animated series that ran for 13 episodes on MTV. Velma<\/em> is based on the mystery-solving Velma Dinkley character who was first introduced in the Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!<\/em> series back in 1969.<\/p>\n

HBO Max hasn\u2019t released premiere dates yet but has revealed the following:<\/p>\n

CLONE HIGH \u2013 Two season order<\/strong>
\nA modern refresh of the Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Bill Lawrence\u00a0hit series set at a high school for clones of historical figures.<\/p>\n

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller return as executive producers and writers. Bill Lawrence is also returning as executive producer with Erica Rivinoja, (\u201cSouth Park,\u201d \u201cBorat Subsequent Moviefilm\u201d)\u00a0 who wrote on the original \u201cClone High\u201d returning as showrunner. CLONE HIGH is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

VELMA<\/strong>
\nVELMA is an adult animated comedy series telling the origin story of\u00a0\u00a0Velma Dinkley, the unsung and underapp<\/a>reciated brains of the Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc. gang.\u00a0\u00a0An original and humorous spin that unmasks the complex and colorful past of one of America\u2019s most beloved mystery solvers, executive producer Mindy Kaling will voice the titular character.\u00a0Charlie Grandy, Howard Klein and Sam Register also serve as executive producers. VELMA is produced by Warner Bros. Animation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

FIRED ON MARS<\/strong>
\nFrom creators Nate Sherman and Nick Vokey, FIRED ON MARS is an existential workplace comedy set on the Martian campus of a modern tech company. Pete Davidson voices a character and executive produces with Carson Mell (\u201cSilicon Valley\u201d) and Dave Sirus.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
