Hall of Fame shortstop Cal Ripken Jr. appeared \u2014 bodiless \u2014 on a virtual hearing for his wife\u2019s state Senate judicial confirmation hearing, according to a report.<\/p>\n

The legendary former Oriole appeared Monday alongside Judge Laura Ripken \u2014 but only his head was visible due to his wife\u2019s virtual background, The Baltimore Sun reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoining me here today in our home office is my husband, Cal, who has been my biggest fan,\u201d Judge Ripken said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most wonderful husband imaginable \u2014 and the best person that I know.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple giggled during his appearance.<\/p>\n

A lawmaker on the hearing kept it humorous.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho is your husband again? Just kidding,\u201d said state Sen. Ronald Young, according to the news<\/a>paper.<\/p>\n

Judge Ripken was being confirmed to Maryland\u2019s Court of Special Appeals.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
