\u201cJackass\u201d personality Bam Margera says he\u2019s getting mental health help after a series<\/a> of disturbing videos posted earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Margera, 41, had fans worried after app<\/a>earing in the videos, which detailed his grievances with the film, slated to come out in September. Although he\u2019s still listed on the\u00a0cast list for the movie on IMDb<\/a>, he claims he was shut out of the production and called for a boycott.<\/p>\n

However, in a follow-up video released Friday on his Instagram,<\/a> he said he would be getting treatment for bipolar disorder. <\/p>\n

\u201cI have some good news<\/a>. I realized that I\u2019m manic bipolar and yesterday, I had to go . . . crazy because of not knowing the answer for a year and a half whether we\u2019re doing \u2018Jackass\u2019 or not. I had . . . to deal with the madness to finally know the answer.\u201d <\/p>\n

It was unclear in the video if he meant that he was back on the production of the fourth movie, and reps for \u201cJackass\u201d and Paramount Pictures have not returned The Post\u2019s requests for comment on Margera\u2019s involvement, nor on his allegations in prior videos. <\/p>\n

His alarming appearance this week underscores the many issues the franchise\u2019s actors have experienced<\/a> since \u201cJackass\u201d first began airing on MTV in 2000. The series showcased wild stunts in a world before iPhones, social media<\/a> and YouTube, airing for two years and eventually morphing into nine films and four spinoffs, including \u201cViva La Bam,\u201d a future spinoff focusing on Margera and his family. <\/p>\n

But behind the scenes, key players, including Margera, struggled. With their daring stunts came injuries, followed by painkillers, followed in some cases by addiction. <\/p>\n

Margera addressed his alcoholism on reality TV in 2016 during an episode of VH1\u2019s \u201cFamily Therapy with Dr. Jenn.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy first drink, I was 21 and I never drank before that,\u201d he said on the show. \u201cWhen I really started drinking, I was probably 24, 25 . . . It just slowly became waking up and sipping on a drink as soon as I got up . . . one is too many but a thousand is never enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

His mom April recalled how during a drunken episode, Bam told her he \u201cwanted to die\u201d because he \u201chated\u201d his life. In January, the skateboarder was arrested for DUI. He then\u00a0sought treatment<\/a>\u00a0at a Los Angeles-based rehab facility.<\/p>\n

Since then, he\u2019s been open about his struggles, and even\u00a0begged Dr. Phil for help in 2019<\/a>. In a lengthy post, he asked the TV doctor to help him fix his life that is \u201cin shambles.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDr. Phil, I need your help in a big, big way,\u201d a distressed Margera said in his video post, rocking dark shades and a gold chain. \u201cMy family is in shambles. It\u2019s worse than it\u2019s ever been, ever.\u201d<\/p>\n

He later\u00a0appeared on the show<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0checked into rehab that month<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, he lives in Oceanside, California with his wife, and said in the videos that he\u2019s making new friends and pursuing the things he loves, such as skateboarding.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
