{"id":177109,"date":"2021-02-12T21:21:44","date_gmt":"2021-02-12T18:21:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.buradabiliyorum.com\/jay-z-jack-dorsey-launch-fund-to-help-develop-bitcoin\/"},"modified":"2021-02-12T21:21:44","modified_gmt":"2021-02-12T18:21:44","slug":"jay-z-jack-dorsey-launch-fund-to-help-develop-bitcoin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/jay-z-jack-dorsey-launch-fund-to-help-develop-bitcoin\/","title":{"rendered":"#Jay-Z, Jack Dorsey launch fund to help develop bitcoin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;<strong>#Jay-Z, Jack Dorsey launch fund to help develop bitcoin<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>R<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>er Jay-Z and tech mogul Jack Dorsey are launching a roughly $24 million fund to help develop bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>The Brooklyn-born artist and the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a> CEO are putting 500 bitcoin into an endowment called \u201c\u20bftrust,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jack\/status\/1360114881978982403\">Dorsey announced Friday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The fund\u2019s mission is to make bitcoin \u201cthe internet\u2019s currency\u201d and it will initially focus on aiding efforts to develop the cryptocurrency in India and Africa, according to Dorsey.<\/p>\n<p>It will be set up as a blind irrevocable trust that will take \u201czero direction\u201d from Dorsey and Jay-Z, who was born Shawn Carter, Dorsey said in a tweet.<\/p>\n<p>Dorsey put out an open call for three board members to help oversee the trust. Anyone interested in applying just has to fill out a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfeVOqGXuKQgE2_mgB1UVM7H_1gwpM6I4j-DDBcdOfxzyJnTg\/viewform\">Google form<\/a> with their name, email address and \u201cproof of work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dorsey is a longtime bitcoin fan. His Twitter bio simply reads \u201c#Bitcoin\u201d and his digital payments firm, Square, bought $50 million of the cryptocurrency last year.
