“#WH spokesman TJ Ducklo suspended for threatening reporter<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

White House spokesman TJ Ducklo has been suspended without pay for threatening to \u201cdestroy\u201d a Politico journalist for reporting about his relationship.<\/p>\n

White House press secretary Jen Psaki announced the one-week suspension on Friday, saying Ducklo has apologized to the reporter, Tara Palmeri, and \u201cis the first to acknowledge this is not the standard of behavior set out by the President.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition to his initial apology, he has sent the reporter a personal note expressing his profound regret,\u201d Psaki tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the app<\/a>roval of the White House Chief of Staff, he has been placed on a one-week suspension without pay,\u201d she added<\/a>. \u201cIn addition, when he returns, he will no longer be assigned to work with any reporters at Politico.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ducklo allegedly went berserk on Palmeri, a former New York Post reporter, as she worked a story about his secret relationship with Axios reporter Alexi McCammond.<\/p>\n

The White House deputy press secretary, 32, called Palmeri, threatening, \u201cI will destroy you\u201d if she went forward with the story \u2014 then accused of her being \u201cjealous\u201d that a different man had \u201cwanted to f\u2013k\u201d McCammond \u201cand not you.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also accused Palmeri of being \u201cjealous\u201d that he was dating McCammond.<\/p>\n

Details of the attack emerged Friday in Vanity Fair<\/a>, which noted that Palmeri had no prior association or communication with McCammond.<\/p>\n

People magazine published a glowing piece about Ducklo\u2019s relationship with McCammond on Monday night \u2014 hours after Politico informed the White House communications team that their story would be coming out Tuesday.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
