Earlier today, Carpenter released a lengthy statement about Whedon&#8217;s alleged inappropriate behavior on the set of <em>Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em> and its spin-off <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> <em>Angel<\/em>. The actress was soon backed up by Gellar, who noted that she did not want to have her name tied to Whedon&#8217;s for the rest of her life.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"embed-instagram\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/p\/CLH9ce-ByTV\/embed\/\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"612\" height=\"690\" allowtransparency=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n<p>Sarah Michelle Gellar also noted that she was standing by other survivors of abuse. <strong><em>Michelle Trachtenberg<\/em><\/strong> reposted Gellar&#8217;s statement and added, &#8220;Thank you Sarah Michelle Gellar for saying this. I am brave enough now as a 35 year old woman&#8230;. To repost this. Because. This must. Be known. As a teenager. With his not appropriate behavior&#8230;.very. Not. Appropriate.&#8221; Trachtenberg starred on <strong><em>Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em><\/strong> as Dawn Summers, Buffy&#8217;s younger sister, from 2000 to 2003. There was a lot of damage done during that time and many of us are still processing it twenty plus years later.&#8221; In turn, Carpenter replied, &#8220;I love you. Your courage and support has proven to be a powerful inspiration and safe harbor.&#8221; The allegations against Whedon have been troubling for a lot fans, especially since the show focused on female empowerment.<\/p>\n<p>Charisma Carpenter was inspired to come forward with her story because of <em>Justice League<\/em>&#8216;s Ray Fisher, who publicly called out <strong><em>Joss Whedon<\/em><\/strong> last summer for the allegedly toxic environment he fostered during the reshoots. &#8220;Charisma Carpenter is one of the bravest people I know. I am forever grateful for her courage and for her lending her voice to the <em>Justice League<\/em> investigation. Read her truth. Share her truth. Protect her at all costs. &#8216;It is time,'&#8221; tweeted the former Cyborg actor. Carpenter admitted in her initial statement that she participated in the private investigation that Warner<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a> put together after Fisher&#8217;s allegations were made public.<br \/>\n<span id=\"nativo1\"\/><br \/>\nNew Yorker journalist Emily Nussbaum summed up the way a lot of <em>Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em> fans are feeling today. &#8220;<em>Buffy<\/em> is my formative TV show, a show that meant &amp; means a lot to me. It&#8217;s intensely depressing to hear how Whedon treated his cast, behind the scenes-and I&#8217;m grateful to Charisma Carpenter for speaking out about it,&#8221; she tweeted. Christopher Golden, who has written a number of <em>Buffy the Vampire Slayer<\/em> books, has revealed that he also stands behind Charisma Carpenter.
