But only if you buy my books and courses, and pay my expensive advisors for more bad financial advice,\u201d Lindsay VanSomeren <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FiSciLindsay\/status\/1359966714587320322\">tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDave Ramsey\u2019s financial advice in a nutshell: already be rich,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/trachel420\/status\/1359919822553939975\">another popular tweet<\/a> read.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"If a $600 Stimulus Check Changes Your Life, Then You&#039;re Already Screwed!\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bQUA1_Nm3Nc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Ramsey doubled down on his arguments on his <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bQUA1_Nm3Nc&amp;ab_channel=TheRamseyShow-Highlights\">radio show<\/a> later Thursday, saying he found it both \u201chilarious\u201d and \u201csad\u201d that his comments had gone viral. \u201cSnowflakes are melting everywhere,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In Ramsey\u2019s view, anyone who thinks a stimulus payment will revamp their budget is \u201can idiot\u201d because they\u2019re depending on politicians to help them get by.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe point is that you\u2019re looking to the government to fix your life, and as long as you wait on Washington, DC, to fix your life, you\u2019re gonna suck,\u201d he said. \u201cYour life is gonna suck. And that\u2019s not poor-shaming. That\u2019s shaming stupidity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ramsey \u2014 who launched his financial advice empire after his real estate business went bust and pushed him into bankruptcy \u2014 did not mention the COVID-19 pandemic, which sparked a historic economic downturn and has put millions of Americans out of work.<\/p>\n<p>He did, however, admit that he wouldn\u2019t turn down a $600 check if it were offered to him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been broke and I never even then thought $600 was gonna change my life, back when $600 was a lot of money,\u201d he said. \u201cWould $600 help?
