A reboot of Mr. & Mrs. Smith<\/i> is coming to Amazon Prime Video. The series is based on the film starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt (above). This new incarnation will star Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Donald Glover as the pair of spies on opposite sides who are also married to each other.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Viewers will have to wait a bit to see this series though. It will arrive in 2022.<\/p>\n

Amazon revealed more about the new Mr. & Mrs. Smith<\/i> in a press release. Check that out below.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmazon Studios announced today that the award-winning writers, producers, and actors Donald Glover (Atlanta<\/i>) and Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag<\/i>) will create and star in Mr. and Mrs. Smith<\/i>, a new series based on the 2005 New Regency film. Glover and Waller-Bridge will also serve as executive producers, with co-creator and executive producer Francesca Sloane (Atlanta, Fargo<\/i>), who will serve as showrunner, and executive producers Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer (New Regency), and Jenny Robins (Wells Street Films).<\/p>\n

From Amazon Studios and New Regency, Mr. and Mrs. Smith<\/i> will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.<\/p>\n

The 2005 feature film Mr. and Mrs. Smith<\/i>, from New Regency and starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, grossed $487 million worldwide during its release.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
