Now, the acid-tongued fast-food firm is on a tear with #NationalRoastDay, a made up tradition during which Wendy\u2019s dished up a brutal bevy of tailor-made insults to willing participants on Twitter<\/a>. <\/p>\n

And even scandal-plagued actor Armie Hammer<\/a> faced their flames.<\/p>\n

\u201cTime for everybody\u2019s favorite made up social media holiday,\u201d wrote the fast-food chain Wednesday in a tweet with more than 46,000 <\/a>likes. \u201cIt\u2019s #NationalRoastDay<\/a>, like right now. Drop a \u201cRoast Me\u201d below and feel the burn.\u201d<\/p>\n

Needless to say, no one was safe from Wendy\u2019s saucy skillet. <\/p>\n

\u201cCheers to made-up holidays,\u201d tweeted New Belgium Brewing<\/a>. \u201cBring it on with the roast, we\u2019ve got a Fat Tire ready to soothe the burn.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wendy\u2019s obliged, tweeting: \u201cAh, the classic \u2018at least it\u2019s not Bud Light\u2019 option at the cookout. #NationalRoastDay<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The burger chain took the fizz out of Coca-Cola by writing<\/a>, \u201cCan I get a cup for water? #NationalRoastDay.\u201d They were referencing a frequent request made by freeloaders at fast-food purveyors. <\/p>\n

Responding to a roast request from Oreo, they wrote:<\/a> \u201cNew flavor idea: Don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

And they absolutely melted Velveeta with the barb<\/a>: \u201cHow are you a verified account when you\u2019re not even verified cheese? #NationalRoastDay<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t just food and beverage firms that were minced by Wendy\u2019s linguistic meat grinder. <\/p>\n

In their most risqu\u00e9 roast in the thread, Wendy\u2019s flamb\u00e9ed Lionsgate films with a reference to \u201cSocial Network\u201d actor Armie Hammer, who recently made headlines<\/a> for alleged cannibalistic cravings.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019d give you a hand but we\u2019re afraid one of your actors might eat it,\u201d they quipped in the now-deleted tweet<\/a>. <\/p>\n

They also defanged the \u201cTwilight\u201d franchise with<\/a>, \u201cName an actor who isn\u2019t trying to live down being in your movies<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCongrats on being the number one search engine site that comes up when people misspell Google,\u201d they snarked at Microsoft Bing. <\/a><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, T-Mobile\u2019s ears are no doubt still ringing from this boutique burn<\/a>: \u201cPlease hold, a roast representative will be with you in 2-14 hours.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wendy\u2019s even took a shot at the king of insults himself, UK chef and \u201cKitchen Nightmares\u201d host Gordon Ramsay, for allegedly copying their methods. \u201cCreating a food empire off of insulting people to stay relevant? Real original, Gordon,\u201d they tweeted along<\/a> with a pic of the iconic \u201cSpiderman vs. Spiderman\u201d meme with images of Wendy and Ramsay digitally pasted over the superheroes.<\/p>\n

Wendy\u2019s is no stranger to serving up sick burns. Like a hamburger-making Michael Corleone from \u201cThe Godfather,\u201d they have verbally assassinated nearly all their fast-food rivals from Burger King to McDonald\u2019s<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n
