Charisma Carpenter has another high-profile co-star in her corner.<\/p>\n

\u201cBring It On\u201d star Eliza Dushku is the latest \u201cBuffy the Vampire Slayer\u201d alum to voice her support for Carpenter, 50, who alleged on Wednesday that \u201cBuffy\u201d creator, Joss Whedon, 56, \u201cabused his power\u201d and fostered an \u201cincreasingly volatile work environment.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cCC, my heart aches for you and I\u2019m so sorry you have held this for so long,\u201d Dushku, who is no stranger to workplace harassment<\/a> battles, wrote on Instagram.<\/a> \u201cYour post was powerful, painful, and painted a picture we\u2019ll collectively never un-see or un-know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dushku played rogue vampire slayer Faith opposite Carpenter\u2019s Cordelia Chase on both \u201cBuffy\u201d and its spinoff, \u201cAngel.\u201d She joins an increasing list of \u201cBuffy\u201d vets \u2014 including Sarah Michelle Gellar<\/a>, Michelle Trachtenberg, Amber Benson and Emma Caulfield \u2014 to voice support on social media<\/a>, telling Carpenter: \u201cI admire, respect, and love you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 40-year-old \u201cTru Calling\u201d and \u201cDollhouse\u201d actress has previously experienced toxic workplaces. In 2018, Dushku alleged<\/a> that \u201cTrue Lies\u201d stunt coordinator Joel Kramer sexually abused her when she was 12 years old. <\/p>\n

Then came the bombshell report that same year revealing Dushku was secretly paid $9.5 million<\/a> by CBS in 2018 for claims she was retaliated against and written off \u201cBull\u201d after complaining about alleged sexual harassment by lead Michael Weatherly on set.<\/p>\n

\u201cI frequently think of the saying, \u2018we are as sick as our secrets,’\u201d Dushku continued in her post. \u201cOur secrets indeed make and keep us sick. What I\u2019m learning more and more \u2014 and have personally found most valuable \u2014 is that profound healing can only come from naming and disclosing what actually happ<\/a>ened, the necessary first step (once someone\u2019s ready) to freeing ourselves from our secrets, untold truths which have kept us isolated, ashamed, and held hostage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carpenter cited Ray Fisher\u2019s unceremonious firing as Cyborg from the forthcoming \u201cThe Flash\u201d flick as the catalyst for her coming out against Whedon. The \u201cJustice League\u201d actor had accused his director<\/a> of being \u201cgross, abusive, unprofessional and completely unacceptable\u201d to him and others on the set of the Warner Bros. superhero film. The 33-year-old actor retweeted Carpenter\u2019s emotional post and called her \u201cone of the bravest people I know.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Carpenter and Fisher\u2019s claims add to Trachtenberg\u2019s allegations of \u201cnot appropriate behavior\u201d by Whedon toward the then-teenager on the set of \u201cBuffy,\u201d and that \u201cthere was a rule saying he\u2019s not allowed in a room alone\u201d with her again.<\/p>\n

Reps for Whedon \u2014 who\u00a0\u201cparted ways\u201d<\/a>\u00a0with HBO\u2019s\u00a0\u201cThe Nevers\u201d\u00a0<\/a>in November \u2014 have not responded to The Post\u2019s requests for comment.<\/p>\n
