“#UK driver avoids speeding ticket, gets fined for flipping off camera in celebration<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

A defiant driver in the UK celebrated beating a speed camera by flipping the bird \u2014 only to get ticketed for the obscene gesture instead.<\/p>\n

Ben Baron, 44, told The Sun<\/a> that he gleefully stuck up both middle fingers while passing the \u201chotspot\u201d speed camera in Lincolnshire, which had busted him before.<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew I was being filmed flipping the finger, but I was celebrating being under the limit,\u201d he explained to the UK paper.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did a celebratory double-flipping, two-handed, which is obviously now leading to the prosecution,\u201d he added, guessing that the camera operator \u201ctook it a bit personally.\u201d<\/p>\n

But little did he know he\u2019d get slapp<\/a>ed with a fine anyway \u2014 for not having \u201cproper control\u201d of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Baron said the ticket and photos, which were mailed to his home, left him \u201cin tears of laughter.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s so funny \u2013 I\u2019m happy to pay the fine,\u201d he told The Sun.<\/p>\n

While the fine amount has yet to be set, Baron has already tried to raise money with an online fundraiser titled, \u201cHelp me pay my fine for sticking it to the man.\u201d<\/p>\n

So far it has yet to catch on, however \u2014 and he\u2019s only raised $200 out of his target of almost $1,400, which he believes is likely the maximum fine.<\/p>\n

\u201cHopefully people with a sense of humor will donate,\u201d he told The Sun. \u201cI\u2019ll pay the fine off then give the rest to charity if there\u2019s anything left.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
