She\u2019s a blast from the past. <\/p>\n

\u201cBachelor\u201d fans were surprised to see former franchise contestant Heather Martin show up to shoot her shot with current lead Matt James. <\/p>\n

The 25-year-old \u2014 who originally app<\/a>eared on Colton Underwood\u2019s season of \u201cThe Bachelor\u201d \u2014 made waves on last week\u2019s episode when she appeared out of nowhere<\/a> asking to join this season. The episode cut off just as she approached James. <\/p>\n

On Season 23 of \u201cThe Bachelor,\u201d which aired in 2019, Martin made headlines for having never been kissed. On the show, she got her first peck from Underwood. <\/p>\n

Though they had never met, James recognized Martin right away. <\/p>\n

If this sounds convoluted, that\u2019s because it is: While competing for Underwood\u2019s heart, Martin befriended fellow contestant Hannah Brown, who later went on to be \u201cThe Bachelorette.\u201d Though Brown did not end up with contestant Tyler Cameron, she remained close friends with him. Cameron is best friends with James, which is how he ended up as this season\u2019s lead. James and Brown are also very close. <\/p>\n

Martin claimed to host Chris Harrison that it was Brown who sparked the idea for her to come on \u201cThe Bachelor\u201d to meet James before he gets engaged, because Brown thought the two would make a good couple. <\/p>\n

Like lots of former \u201cBachelor\u201d contestants, Martin works as an influencer (she has 256,000 Instagram<\/a> followers). She\u2019s based out of Carlsbad, California, a seaside town at the southern end of the state. <\/p>\n

In September of last year, she starred in a music video called \u201cSong for a Girl\u201d by country artist Lawson Bates. <\/p>\n

Martin has a strong Christian faith, and she regularly posts Bible verses on her Instagram stories. Her Instagram bio calls out Mark 10:45, which reads, \u201cFor even the Son of Man came not to be served but\u00a0to serve, and\u00a0to give his life as a ransom for\u00a0many.\u201d<\/p>\n

She has two lookalike sisters, Colie and Shannon. The trio is starting a merchandise line together, called Tilted Three, soon. They\u2019ve teased the project on Instagram<\/a>. <\/p>\n

She\u2019s also known for her cheery disposition. <\/p>\n
