“#Pharoah Sanders and Floating Points Join Forces for New Album<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Spiritual jazz saxophone legend Pharoah Sanders has joined forces with Floating Points for a new album called Promises<\/em>. Recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra, the nine-part work is the first new music from the 80-year-old jazz luminary in more than a decade. It\u2019s out March 26 via Luaka Bop<\/a>. Check out the album artwork by contemporary visual artist Julie Mehretu below, as well as a trailer for the record featuring Sanders and Floating Points, aka Sam Shepherd.<\/p>\n

Last year, Parisian label Transversales Disques reissued some live material from Sanders as Live in Paris (1975)<\/em>. Floating Points\u2019 most recent album was 2019\u2019s Crush<\/em>.<\/em> Shephard later remixed Caribou\u2019s \u201cSister\u201d and \u201cNever Come Back.\u201d<\/p>\n
