\nATLANTA, GA \u2013 <\/span> 2 Chainz made his debut on NPR<\/em>\u2018s Tiny Desk<\/em> concert series<\/a> on Wednesday (February 17). Instead of the traditional trip<\/a> to the NPR<\/em>\u00a0Washington D.C. office, the Atlanta-based rapp<\/a>er improvised with a \u201chome\u201d edition, which he kicked off at the ATL\u2019s Pamper nail salon he owns.<\/p>\n

In the clip, Chainz gets pampered with a Belaire champagne-drenched pedicure while he performs a couple of cuts from his 2020 So Help Me God!<\/em> album, including the JAY-Z-sampling \u201cSouthside HOV,\u201d which he\u2019s still waiting for Jay to hop on. The Drench God then takes things back to some classics in his discography such as 2017\u2019s \u201cGood Drank\u201d featuring Quavo and Gucci Mane.<\/p>\n

Chainz then hops back in the studio with a band at his back for his \u201cI\u2019m Different\u201d anthem. Following the five-track set, Chainz gets introspective for a moment and reflects on Black History Month and some of the role models in the community. He mentions the likes of Diddy and film mogul Tyler Perry.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are a lot of people who have been moving the needle forward for Black people,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd they have been for some time.\u201d<\/p>\n
