Two dead people \u2014 a naked woman and a man in a smoldering car \u2014 were found on fire hours apart early Wednesday in Philadelphia, police said.<\/p>\n

Cops got a call minutes after 6 a.m. for a \u201cnude female on fire\u201d in the 2300 block of Strawberry Mansion Drive inside the city\u2019s 2,000-acre Fairmount Park. Firefighters responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead, police said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo new details at this time,\u201d Philadelphia police spokeswoman Officer Tanya Little told The Post in an email. \u201cThe investigation is very much in its early stages.\u201d<\/p>\n

The victim was not immedia<\/a>tely identified and no arrests were made, police said.<\/p>\n

An arson K-9 unit responded to the scene in the city\u2019s Strawberry Mansion section, NBC Philadelphia reported<\/a>. Officers blocked off the roadway as they investigated the suspicious death, which marked the second set of human remains found in fires across the city early Wednesday.<\/p>\n

About six hours earlier, cops responded to an intersection in the Kensington neighborhood \u2013 more than 4 miles away \u2013 and found a car fully engulfed in flames, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A man\u2019s body was discovered inside the vehicle when the blaze was put out. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at 12:55 a.m. and investigators had not announced any arrests, the Inquirer reported.<\/p>\n

Flames from the vehicle \u2013 a Cadillac sedan \u2013 were about eight to 10 feet high, CBS Philadelphia reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was no license plate attached to the vehicle, none that we could find,\u201d Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told the station. \u201cHowever, we did locate the vehicle identification number and we ran that through our computer and the vehicle is registered about miles from here in Philadelphia.\u201d<\/p>\n

Police did not immediately respond to an inquiry about whether the incidents are believed to be connected.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will provide updates as they become available,\u201d Little wrote in an email to The Post.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
