From a demand perspective, there is enough firepower in the economy to maintain good growth through the next couple of months. While there are cheers for the January results, maintaining growth will require more. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe January data suggest that the picture is improving,\u201d said Cailin Birch, global economist at The Economist Intelligence Unit, adding that the anticipation of a sizeable relief package under the new Biden administration is likely bolstering confidence. <\/p>\n<p>President Joseph Biden and Congress are currently working out the details for another aid package, with $1,400 stimulus checks, or more, a possibility for some Americans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat said, the positive headline data continues to mask weakness among a broad swathe of consumers\u2013particularly low-income households, which make up a smaller share of overall spending, but have been disproportionately hit by the rise in unemployment. More stimulus is a clear plus. The Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund<br \/>\n        XLY,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/200844504\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.59%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       is up 29.4%.
