Is that something to be excited for?<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, we would say that the future of the\u00a0<em>Masked Singer\u00a0<\/em>spin-off is very much up in the air. It didn\u2019t draw anywhere near the same positive attention or reviews as the flagship show, and that is also reflected in the ratings.\u00a0<em>The Masked Singer\u00a0<\/em>itself averaged a 1.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic throughout its most-recent season; compare that to the 0.7 rating that\u00a0<em>The Masked Dancer\u00a0<\/em>brought in. Also, remember with this rating that the averages are lifted up slightly by the premiere, which aired after a Sunday afternoon football <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>. Over the past four weeks,\u00a0<em>The Masked Dancer\u00a0<\/em>is averaging a 0.6 rating and 2.8 million viewers.<\/p>\n<p>So what do you do with a show that is drawing less than half the numbers of\u00a0<em>The Masked Singer<\/em>? You can argue that Fox will keep it around to serve as a fill-in <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> during the months that the main show is off the air, but we\u2019re not sure they will roll the dice with that. It will be harder to get big-name stars to sign up for a show with a smaller audience; not only that, but you run the risk of diluting\u00a0<em>The Masked Singer\u00a0<\/em>itself by having too many like-minded shows on the air.<\/p>\n<p>While\u00a0<em>The Masked Dancer\u00a0<\/em>definitely had its moments, we think that in <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>, this format doesn\u2019t work as well since it\u2019s harder to incorporate guessing into it. With\u00a0<em>The Masked Singer,\u00a0<\/em>you get a clue straight from the jump in someone\u2019s voice. Here, you have to rely solely on someone\u2019s dance ability and body type in order to make some guesses \u2014 it just doesn\u2019t have the same overall sense of novelty to it. More clues and gimmicks have to be thrown in to make it easier.<\/p>\n<p>Would we be happy if\u00a0<em>The Masked Dancer\u00a0<\/em>is renewed? Absolutely.
