Bosch Group, the global technology<\/a> supplier, is teaming up with Fetch.ai to launch a multi-purpose blockchain network that can further advance Web 3.0 capabilities like artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The blockchain network, which is in testnet until the end of February, seeks to bring distributed ledger technology to several industries. Specifically, the network is developing machine learning app<\/a>lications for blockchain governance, which can be applied to various use cases. <\/p>\n

The testnet program was launched by Fetch.ai in Oct 2020, with Bosch Research\u2019s Economy of Things<\/em> team contributing to its development. Bosch\u2019s participation will continue after the mainnet launch in March by running a node on the Fetch.ai network.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Ward, CTO of Fetch.ai, said his company has been working with Bosch for \u201csome time,\u201d highlighting the evolving nature of the research partnership. He described the project as a first public step in bringing “open, fair and transparent digital ecosystems” into the real world:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re looking forward to working further with Bosch to bring about the wide adoption of these ground-breaking innovations, which will hugely benefit consumers and businesses in many industries including automotive, manufacturing, and healthcare.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Dr. Alexander Poddey, a lead researcher on the Economy of Things <\/em>project, added:<\/p>\n

\u201cOur collaboration with Fetch.ai spans from the aspects governance and orchestration of DLT based ecosystems, multi-agent technologies to collective learning.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bosch has released several forward-facing content pieces on the socioeconomic benefits of blockchain technology. The company\u2019s Chain Reaction <\/em>series<\/a> cited<\/a> blockchain as a \u201cfundamental infrastructure innovation\u201d and a \u201ckey component of society in the future.\u201d <\/p>\n

Fetch.ai has been at the center of several high-profile partnerships over the past two years. In Nov 2020, the company partnered with solutions provider Datarella to launch a \u201cSmart City\u201d infrastructure trial in Munich, Germany. In May 2019, Fetch.ai collaborated with Deutsche Telekom to develop a decentralized IoT network.<\/p>\n
