\nMeek Mill was met with controversy on Wednesday (February 17) after a snippet of an unreleased song surfaced online, in which he references late NBA legend Kobe Bryant\u2019s death. The untitled track \u2014 known as \u201cDon\u2019t Worry (RIP Kobe)\u201d on Genius\u2019 website<\/a> \u2014 is a collaboration with Lil Baby,\u00a0which finds Meek bringing up Kobe passing away in a helicopter crash.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis bitch I\u2019m fuckin\u2019 always tell me that she love me but she ain\u2019t ever showed me,\u201d Meek raps in his verse. \u201cYeah, and if I ever lack, I\u2019m goin\u2019 out with my chopper, it be another Kobe\/Shit, I could tell that they ain\u2019t never know me\/\u2019Cause if they knew me they would\u2019ve never showed me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, Hip Hop and NBA fans alike took to Twitter<\/a> to blast the Philadelphia-bred rapp<\/a>er for his choice of words.<\/p>\n

One Twitter user wrote, \u201cHe made a reference about Kobe\u2019s death in the helicopter, meek is a fucking weirdo ass clown for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMeek Mill been a clown but too say that line about Kobe & a choppa\u2026\u2026 ON BLACK HISTORY MONTH???\u201d another said.<\/p>\n

DJ Sourmilk of Power 106\u2019s L.A. Leakers<\/em> wrote, \u201cI do agree that people are pussies these days and wanna cancel everything, but that Kobe line could\u2019ve been swapped out.\u201d<\/p>\n
