Bloober Team is working on a \u201chorror IP\u201d with a \u201cvery famous gaming publisher,\u201d company CEO Piotr Babieno told GamesIndustry.biz<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been working for more than a year on another gaming project, another horror IP, and we\u2019re doing this with a very famous gaming publisher,\u201d Babieno said. \u201cI can\u2019t tell you who. I can\u2019t tell you what the project is, but I\u2019m pretty sure when people realize we\u2019re working on it, they will be very excited.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bloober Team recently released The Medium<\/em>, a psychological horror game<\/a>, for Xbox Series<\/a> and PC. It features music from acclaimed Silent Hill<\/em> composer Akira Yamaoka, who recently teased his next project would be announced by summer. At this point, it is unknown whether it is related to Bloober Team\u2019s next project.<\/p>\n

According to Babieno, Bloober Team\u2019s future projects \u201cwill not necessarily be horror games,\u201d but rather \u201cthrillers\u201d in order to appeal to a wider audience.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you think about Resident Evil 8<\/em>, Hellblade 2<\/em>, even in some ways The Last of Us<\/em>\u2026 This is the area in which we would like to be,\u201d Babieno said. \u201cAnd still we\u2019d like to keep our DNA, showing some fears and emotions, those things which are hidden to our eyes. But again, we\u2019d like to not make environment our storytelling, but to have \u2018real\u2019 storytelling with characters, action, and so on.\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued, \u201cThey will still be Bloober Team games, and everyone who plays them will get that taste. But they will be much more mass-market oriented.\u201d<\/p>\n
