The unit, which employs artificial intelligence to help hospitals, insurers and drug makers manage their data, has roughly $1 billion in annual revenue and isn\u2019t currently profitable, the people said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       Its brands include Merge Healthcare, which analyzes mammograms and MRIs; Phytel, which assists with patient communications; and Truven Health Analytics, which analyzes complex healthcare data.<\/p>\n<p>It isn\u2019t clear how much the business might fetch in a sale, and there may not be one.<\/p>\n<p>IBM, with a market value of $108 billion, has been left behind as cloud-computing rivals\u00a0Microsoft\u00a0Corp.\u00a0<br \/>\n        MSFT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/207732364\/composite\" class=\"negative\">-0.17%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       and\u00a0Amazon.com\u00a0Inc.<br \/>\n        AMZN,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210331248\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.59%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n      \u00a0soar to valuations more than 10 times greater.
