“#Howard Stern Supports #FreeBritney Movement With FANTASTIC Point!

\nLike many others, Howard Stern<\/strong> does not come off well in the\u00a0Britney Spears<\/strong> documentary.<\/p>\n

Framing Britney Spears<\/em> shows moments over the years in which various media<\/a> personalities used the Oops I Did It Again<\/em> singer as a punchline in the days following her mental breakdown \u2014 and the shock jock was no exception.<\/p>\n

In 2012 he was asked about her X Factor<\/em> contract and joked:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we\u2019re going to tune in to see her, to see if she can function through the thing. I think Britney will sit there and eat a lollipop and wear a sexy outfit\u2026 I\u2019ll tune in to see what kind of train wreck she is, absolutely.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He was also a part of the narrative about her in the way he interviewed male celebs. At different times he asked both Justin Timberlake<\/strong> and Fred Durst<\/strong> about having s*x with the starlet.<\/p>\n

But for those who haven\u2019t been paying attention over the past few years, Howard is not the same man he was back then. He\u2019s spent a long time working on himself, becoming more thoughtful and evolved.<\/p>\n

Kinda like someone else we know! <\/p>\n

Like most Britney fans, Howard checked out the hit Hulu<\/strong> doc \u2014 and had a very strong reaction to it. Speaking to his longtime co-host\u00a0Robin Quivers<\/strong>, he mused:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think I\u2019m Free Britney now, I think I\u2019m full on Free Britney.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But it wasn\u2019t only voicing support for the viral movement which endorses giving the 39-year-old freedom from the conservatorship she\u2019s been under for over a dozen years. Howard also made a connection we haven\u2019t seen enough people make \u2014 and it\u2019s a fantastic, feminist point!<\/p>\n

He compared her public meltdown to\u00a0male<\/em> celebrities who\u2019ve had similar episodes, naming specifically\u00a0Charlie Sheen<\/strong>, Shia LaBeouf<\/strong>, Gary Busey<\/strong>, Kanye West<\/strong>, and Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong>. He noted all these men had issues perhaps even more extreme than Britney, and yet no one had ever taken away their freedom. He joked:<\/p>\n

\u201cOzzy bit the head off of a bat in a business meeting. He\u2019s in charge of his own finances.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It\u2019s a really good point.<\/p>\n

Obviously we don\u2019t know what\u2019s going on in the world of Britney. Not really. We know what she shows us on social media, which isn\u2019t much. But we do know there are a lot of folks out there with far less resources and nowhere close to the work ethic she\u2019s displayed over the years who are not under the kind of legal limitations Britney has.<\/p>\n

The big difference? Near as we can tell, it\u2019s just the amount of money involved \u2014 and the amount folks can make \u201clooking out for her.\u201d Just our opinion.<\/p>\n
