Gov. Cuomo ordered COVID-positive patients into elderly-care facilities and relented only after news<\/a> of deaths trickled out, fumes The Federalist\u2019s Christopher Bedford<\/a>. He never took blame for that but instead offered \u201clie after lie,\u201d plus his usual bullying. And \u201cwhat did the corporate media do? They got creepy, worshipping him like something \u00adbetween a savior and a manipulative boyfriend.\u201d The Post and others \u201cdemanded answers,\u201d but \u201cleftist outlets thanked him for his leadership.\u201d Hollywood gave him an Emmy, and daytime shows invited him to pitch his farcical book on pandemic \u201cleadership.\u201d Indeed, the \u201cmyth\u201d of Cuomo, \u201cMaster of Pandemics,\u201d was the creation of the American \u00admedia \u2014 \u201cthe very people whose job is to hold politicians accountable,\u201d regardless of party or ideology.\u1427Emmys are for acting. But for \u201cCNN, NBC, ABC, The New York Times, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Reuters, AP and PolitiFact, there is no excuse.\u201d<\/p>\n

Conservative: Limbaugh\u2019s Lasting Legacy<\/strong><\/p>\n

From the left: The Cancel-Celebrities Culture<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cStop treating celebrities like politicians,\u201d demands New York magazine\u2019s Jonathan Chait<\/a>. Social media are producing \u201cpanicky firings,\u201d \u00adbecause no \u201cfilm or show wants to be linked, however tangentially, to \u2018racism\u2019 or \u2018anti-Semitism,\u2019 either real or imagined.\u201d Gina Carano was axed from Disney\u2019s \u201cThe Mandalorian\u201d \u201cover a supposedly anti-Semitic social-media post.\u201d Yet the post wasn\u2019t bigoted, and anyway, we shouldn\u2019t expect an \u00adactress \u201cto analyze her social-media posts for their historical undertones with the same level of intellectual sophistication\u201d as members of Congress. \u201cA person can have a job vamping on a reality show or dressing up in a silly costume and pretending to chase around Baby Yoda in a spaceship without possessing a fine-tuned antenna for decoding political symbolism.\u201d<\/p>\n

Education desk: Illinois\u2019 Useless Standards<\/strong><\/p>\n

At FoxNews.com, Eli Steele recalls<\/a> a young, illiterate man seeking a job whom he met while gathering footage for a documentary on Illinois\u2019 \u201cCulturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards.\u201d Steele marveled at \u201chow far this man\u2019s world was from the new standards\u201d leaders thought would uplift blacks. The disconnect between their \u201cprogressive values\u201d and \u201cthe realities on the ground could not be starker.\u201d Illinois teachers \u201cfailed to uphold the most basic\u201d of education standards for that man, and he isn\u2019t alone: In 2019, only 37 percent of Illinois third-graders showed proficiency in English. When Steele asked the man \u201chow he felt about the education system wanting to encourage students to become activists, he laughed: \u201cAnyone can march, but not everyone can get a job.\u201d <\/p>\n
