\n City Council members are getting phone calls, text messages and even visits at their homes from activists who want them to defund the NYPD, The Post has learned.<\/p>\n

Some officials have complained to cops that their privacy was invaded when their personal information was posted online, according to a council member who spoke on condition of anonymity.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt app<\/a>ears that council members are getting doxxed. Advocates have posted members\u2019 phone numbers as well as home addresses,\u201d the source said Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cMembers are getting phone calls, text messages, and threats of people showing up at their homes. Members have reported to the police.\u201d<\/p>\n

Councilwoman Vanessa Gibson (D-The Bronx) told The Post that she got threatening calls on her personal phone from activists who demanded she vote \u201cno\u201d on the budget that\u2019s due Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cDisgusting and completely disrespectful! I have erased and blocked people,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is unbelievable and crosses the line.\u201d<\/p>\n

Councilman Robert Holden (D-Queens) also said he got two calls at 2 a.m. from unknown callers.<\/p>\n

Councilman Rafael Salamanca (D-The Bronx) said activists showed up at his home on Sunday night, but declined to elaborate.<\/p>\n

Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer (D-Queens) tweeted Tuesday morning that a letter and a sign saying \u201cBLACK LIVES MATTER\u201d were taped to the door of his home overnight.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow I know some electeds REALLY don\u2019t like home visits, but I appreciate the passion here & the righteous fight. I see you. I hear you! I agree with you!\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Phone numbers for several council members were posted on Twitter<\/a> by Aaron Narraph Ferrando, a student at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.<\/p>\n

\u201cCall like crazy if you haven\u2019t been able to reach them yet,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Ferrando didn\u2019t immediately return an email seeking comment.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
