He waddled right into the spotlight.<\/p>\n

A \u201cnever-before-seen\u201d yellow penguin was captured on camera by a Belgian wildlife photographer, making nature lovers squawk with joy.<\/p>\n

Yves Adams\u00a0was snapp<\/a>ing photos of a colony of 120,000 king penguins in South Georgia, an island in the southern Atlantic, in December 2019 when he spotted the rare bird, he told Kennedy News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was heaven that he landed by us,\u201d Adams said<\/a>. \u201cIf it had been 50 meters away we wouldn\u2019t have been able to get this show of a lifetime.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adams\u2019 series<\/a> of\u00a0enthralling shots show the canary-yellow creature flapping belly-down in the water and waddling next to his conventional-looking counterparts.<\/p>\n

Close-ups show the penguin \u2014 whose coloring is due to the\u00a0pigmentation condition leucism \u2014 with fully yellow plumage, and even yellow peepers.<\/p>\n

Adams shared the images of animal Instagram this week, making bird buffs swoon.<\/p>\n

Normal penguins often use yellow feather highlights to attract mates \u2014 but it\u2019s unclear if the ultra-rare bird\u2019s look makes him a golden boy with the gals.<\/p>\n
