\n A 24-year-old man was arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly hitting a cop with his getaway car after looting a Manhattan store, police said.<\/p>\n

Jahara Joberteh is facing charges of assault, burglary, riot and driving without a license over the June 1 incident in Greenwich Village, cops said.<\/p>\n

Police said Joberteh and six others were caught on camera breaking into a cell phone store at 14 W. 8th St. just before 3:30 a.m. \u2014 as dozens of looters descended on downtown Manhattan with cops tied up with George Floyd protests.<\/p>\n

Police tried to stop the group of looters, who had piled into a Ford Explorer with temporary Wisconsin plates, by blocking in the SUV.<\/p>\n

But Joberteh floored it, plowing into an officer, who had gotten out of the marked vehicle, video shows.<\/p>\n

The officer was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he recovered from his leg injuries.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
