It was not the cat-tastrophe they were expecting. <\/p>\n

The Ohio bomb squad rushed to investigate a suspicious bag left outside of an Ohio church only to find a half-dozen newborn kittens and their mother, Sprinkles. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a momma cat and her 6\u00a0one-day-old babies in a bag,\u201d the Butler County Sheriff\u2019s Office said in a Facebook post<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a note left stating \u2018Sprinkles\u2019 went into labor yesterday 2\/17,\u201d the statement continues. <\/p>\n

Both mom and kittens were moved to the Animal Friends Shelter where they were bathed and cared for by the staff. <\/p>\n

\u201cSprinkles, purring throughout it all, received her vaccines and blood test and app<\/a>ears to be in good health. She\u2019s doing a fantastic job nursing and caring for her babies, and all 7 will be placed with their foster family this afternoon,\u201d the shelter reported. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe will give regular updates on Sprinkles and her kittens as they grow and mature over the next two months.\u201d<\/p>\n

Animal Friends uses social media<\/a> to spotlight cats that are in need of adoption or foster home as a part of their \u201cFeline Friday\u201d. Sprinkles and her kittens were featured in this weeks post. <\/p>\n
