\n Elon Musk\u2019s hiatus from Twitter<\/a> didn\u2019t last long.<\/p>\n

Just three days after announcing that he was \u201coff Twitter for a while,\u201d Musk was back on the platform saying that it\u2019s \u201ctime to break up Amazon.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Tesla CEO\u2019s outburst came in response to a Thursday tweet from former New York Times reporter Alex Berenson, who complained that Amazon\u2019s Kindle Direct Publishing service had refused to publish his book \u201cUnreported Truths About COVID-19 and Lockdowns.\u201d<\/p>\n

Musk responded by tagging Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos in a tweet and calling the decision \u201cinsane.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTime to break up Amazon,\u201d he added. \u201cMonopolies are wrong!\u201d<\/p>\n

Berenson had posted a screenshot of an email from Amazon where it said that his book \u201cdoes not comply with our guidelines.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is based entirely on published government data and scientific papers,\u201d Berenson said. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t say coronavirus isn\u2019t real or doesn\u2019t kill people (in fact, the worst-case death toll is likely to be striking to people). And Amazon won\u2019t run it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Musk has previously called the coronavirus pandemic \u201cdumb,\u201d and railed against California lawmakers when his Fremont factory was forced to shut down under shelter-in-place orders.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also not the first time that Musk has used Twitter to a jab at the world\u2019s richest man on Twitter. Last spring, Musk poured some rocket fuel on his rivalry with Bezos \u2014 whose Blue Origin rocket company is rivals with Musk\u2019s SpaceX \u2014 calling the Amazon CEO a copycat for his plan to launch a network of 3,000 internet satellites.<\/p>\n

Neither Amazon nor Tesla responded to The Post\u2019s request for comment.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
