A thief rode a scooter into a Manhattan parking garage and then drove out in a stolen BMW \u2014 first crashing it through a metal gate in a brazen heist caught on video, according to police.<\/p>\n

Surveillance footage taken from inside an East 34th Street parking garage on Thursday around 5:20 a.m. shows the gray sedan barreling around a corner, plowing through the garage door and out onto the street.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Police said the keys had been left in the car, which was recovered.<\/p>\n

Cops are seeking the public\u2019s help in identifying the alleged thief, who faces a charge of grand larceny.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
