Three of the world\u2019s four fastest 100-meter men sprinters are from Jamaica.<\/p>\n<p>On the women\u2019s side, two of the four fastest times ever run in the 100 meters were achieved by Jamaicans.<\/p>\n<p>Most people only know about Usain Bolt, but Jamaica has an illustrious history in sprinting that dates back to 1948 when Arthur Wint won a Gold medal in the 400 meters race.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Other trailblazers such as Donald Quarrie, Merlene Ottey, Veronica Campbell Brown, Asafa Powell, Yohan Blake, Elaine Thompson, and Shelly-Ann Fraser have put Jamaica on the map when it comes to sprinting.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Jerk_Meat\"><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Jerk_Meat\"><\/span>#4 Jerk Meat\u00a0<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Food is an integral part of any culture and Jerk is one of Jamaica\u2019s most famous food exports. And because of its mountainous terrain and over 120 rivers, Jamaica has plenty of waterfall attractions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Some of my favorite waterfall attractions are <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/jamaicatravelsaver.com\/blue-hole-ocho-rios\/\"><strong>the Blue hole<\/strong><\/a>, Dunns river falls, and YS Falls. As you head inland to the center of the island, you will come into cockpit country, where the land is marked by steep-sided hollows divided by conical hills and ridges.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To the east of cockpit country, you have the Blue Mountains, where you will find the highest point in Jamaica at 2,256 meters.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.traveldrafts.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/DunnsRiverFalls-1.jpg\" alt=\"What is Jamaica best known for? As the processing technique improved, so did the taste, and so did its popularity.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At one time, there were over 148 distilleries on the island, whereas today, there are only 5 distilleries.
