Starting with one of the most popular among locals, the Old Sanatorium situated in a mountain close to Athens was the place where people sick from tuberculosis were healed. After the decade of the 60s, the building was renovated and was built the Xenia Hotel, but due to competition of the nearby hotel, it was shut down.
