new members to add diversity: See the full list<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<div>\n                        The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/sciencee\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"5\" title=\"Science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Science<\/a>s has invited 819 artists and executives to join the organization in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>In doing so, the Academy continues its work on diversifying its ranks. If all 819 invitees accept their invitations (which would bring its total membership to 9,412), 45% of the new members will be women and 36% are from underrepresented ethnic\/racial communities. International make-up is 49% from 68 countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Academy is delighted to welcome these distinguished fellow <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">travel<\/a>ers in the motion picture arts and sciences. We have always embraced extraordinary talent that reflects the rich variety of our global film community, and never more so than now,\u201d said Academy president David Rubin said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016, as part of its A2020 initiative, the Academy promised to at least double the number of women and underrepresented ethnic\/racial communities by this year. \u201cThrough dedicated and intentional work by the Board of Governors and members on the branch executive committees, the Academy has surpassed both these goals,\u201d the organization said.<\/p>\n<p>Branches that invited more women than men include, actors, casting directors, costume designers, documentary, executives, makeup artists and hairstylists and marketing and public relations.<\/p>\n<p>Branches that invited the majority of their candidates from underrepresented ethnic\/racial communities are actors, casting directors, directors, music and producers.<\/p>\n<p>The majority of candidates from international regions were invited by actors, casting directors, cinematographers, costume designers, directors, documentary, film editors, makeup artists and hairstylists, music, producers, short films &#038; feature animation, visual effects and writers.<\/p>\n<p>The number of women members has doubled from 1,446 in 2015 to 3,179 in 2020. In that same time period, the number of members from underrepresented ethnic\/racial communities has tripled from 554 to 1,787.<\/p>\n<p>Next on the Academy\u2019s agenda is Aperture 2025 to advance inclusion and representation in membership and the film community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe take great pride in the strides we have made in exceeding our initial inclusion goals set back in 2016, but acknowledge the road ahead is a long one,\u201d Academy CEO Dawn Hudson said in a statement. \u201cWe are committed to staying the course. I cannot give enough thanks to all our members and staff who worked on the A2020 initiative and to our head of Member Relations and Awards, Lorenza Mun\u0303oz, for her leadership and passion in guiding us through to this point and helping to set the path going forward.
