The Thracian tomb of Karlovo is a UNESCO site, but there are others close to the Valley. Also, you can\u2019t visit the original tomb, as it has been sealed forever! You can only visit the exact replica, next to it.<\/p>\n<p>Note that the Rose Valley is only really worth during Rose Season between May and June. During the rest of the year, you won\u2019t see many Roses. There\u2019s a huge variety of salads! Our favorite (and almost everyone\u2019s) is the Shopska Salad,\u00a0made from tomatoes, cucumbers, onion\/scallions, raw or roasted peppers, sirene (white brine cheese), and parsley. It\u2019s as simple as it\u2019 great! Yogurt is a staple food in Bulgaria, it\u2019s used everywhere and eaten with almost everything\u2026 (even soups\u2026:) ) It\u2019s definitely\u00a0something you need to try.<\/p>\n<p> #30 I wasn\u2019t expecting to eat much fish in Bulgaria\u2026 I love great fresh fish but only if it\u2019s really good, so I don\u2019t really experiment much with fish. This is very useful for tourists, as you can have an idea of how much food you are ordering!
