A woman whose 2-year-old son was pummeled by a panhandler on a Manhattan subway train described on Sunday how she pleaded for help during the attack \u2014 but \u201cno one did nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old mom \u2014 who asked to remain anonymous out of fear of the on-the-loose attacker \u2014 said that none of the other straphangers on the full C train came to her aid\u00a0Saturday when a female beggar\u00a0started punching her baby.<\/p>\n

\u201cNobody tried to help me,\u201d she told The Post. \u201cI yelled, \u2018Someone help me, take the baby!\u2019 No one did nothing to help.\u201d<\/p>\n

The harrowing incident took place shortly after 3 p.m. at Frederick Douglas Boulevard and West 116th Street,\u00a0after the suspect walked between train-car doors and began asking passengers for money, police and law-enforcement\u00a0sources said.<\/p>\n

The panhandler a man for $20, before moving on to the mom, who said she was holding her tot in a harness.<\/p>\n

\u201cMa\u2019am, can you please say 6 feet away?\u201d the boy\u2019s mom said she asked the woman.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when \u201cshe stepped on my foot,\u201d the distraught woman recalled, \u201cand I pushed her off my foot to protect the baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe turned and started\u00a0punching the baby multiple times,\u201d the mom said. \u201cShe didn\u2019t even hit me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The aggressor fled when the train reached the West 116th Street\u00a0station, \u201cand no one tried to stop her.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cThere was a lot of people\u201d on the train, the distressed woman noted. \u201cEvery seat was occupied.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her baby, who has asthma, suffered minor injuries to his face and ear. He is so traumatized that \u201che won\u2019t let me touch him by the face.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NYPD on Sunday evening was still looking for the attacker, who was described by sources as heavy-set and in her 40s, with a neck tattoo and buzzcut.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will never forget her face,\u201d the boy\u2019s mom said. \u201cShe looked evil.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n
