\n After marking its vast territory in the smartphone market in India,<\/span>, Xiaomi has released plenty of affordable audio products in the country, including a smart speaker and truly wireless buds.<\/p>\n

Today, the company announced a new 16W Bluetooth speaker and the\u00a0Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphones Pro\u00a0\u2014 and I\u2019m interested in the latter. Why, do you ask? The new neckbuds\u00a0<\/span>come at a modest price of \u20b91,800 (roughly $25) and have active noise cancellation.\u00a0You don\u2019t often get ANC\u00a0in audio devices at this price point, as a search on marketplaces like Amazon reveals.<\/span><\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t tried this pair yet, so I can\u2019t pass a verdict on its performance.<\/span>\u00a0But its\u00a0feature set seems commendable given the price.<\/span>\u00a0Apart from active noise cancellation, it offers 20 hours of playback time and a splash and sweatproof design, which might be good for workouts.<\/p>\n

Xiaomi says that you can enable active noise cancellation with one click, and it\u2019ll reduce surrounding noise by\u00a025dB.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In terms of sound, it has a 10mm bass driver. So, it\u2019ll have passable sound quality for casual music or podcast listening at best.<\/p>\n

I like the neckband form factor as I can just hang them on my neck and forget about them even if I\u2019m not using them.\u00a0And when I get a call, I can quickly plug them in my ears without having to retrieve them from my pocket. <\/span><\/p>\n

This is exactly why I use the OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 regularly. They\u2019re not the best neckbuds out there, but they\u2019re comfortable and sturdy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not expecting these to rival AirPods Pro or Sony\u2019s trusted WH series<\/a> in terms of noise cancellation. But this might be a budget backup\u00a0I\u2019d want to keep in my everyday carry bag,<\/span>\u00a0and use it for taking calls or working from a cafe.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve ordered a pair, and once I\u2019ll use them for a bit and tell you if it\u2019s worth $25. You can buy them from Xiaomi\u2019s site in India.<\/p>\n
