According to <em><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2021\/02\/22\/xzibit-wife-files-for-divorce\/\">TMZ,<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>Krista Joiner filed the paperwork at Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday (February 22) after roughly six years of marriage.<\/p>\n<p>The couple started dating in 2001 and married in 2014. Following the reception at the St. Regis Monarch in Laguna Beach, California, the former <em>Pimp My Ride<\/em> host was pulled over by law enforcement for speeding the next morning. In a 2018 interview with <em>HipHopDX,<\/em> the Detroit-born MC talked about how Hip Hop got him through some tumultuous times.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s my outlet,\u201d X said at the time. \u201cIt saved my life. Hip Hop saved my life definitely. When I didn\u2019t have an outlet to kick and scream, thank god I found Hip Hop because I would have been like everybody before me that succumb to pressures of life and kill somebody and just do something stupid, or jeopardize my freedom.
