The integration is intended to mitigate Ethereum&#8217;s skyrocketing transaction fees, which have spiked to new all-time highs over the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal would involve integrating SushiSwap with Raydium&#8217;s platform, with the\u00a0Solana-based automated market maker having<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RaydiumProtocol\/status\/1363686272854679556\">\u00a0launched on Feb. 21<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal\u2019s author, &#8220;Handroll,&#8221; notes Raydium already features support for SushiSwap\u2019s liquidity pools:\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe have been working on Raydium\u2019s AMM and liquidity pool protocols since the fall of 2020 and have just launched on our platform [\u2026] Raydium\u2019s protocol is already able to support SushiSwap liquidity pools for the Serum orderbook.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Handroll proposes the integration begins with Raydium working alongside SushiSwap to build support for liquidity pools and staking on the Solana-powered Serum DEX. After a testing period on Raydium\u2019s testnet, the teams could then explore deploying Bonsai on Solana\u2019s mainnet.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal claims SushiSwap users will be able to carry out token swaps and manage their yield farms much faster and with a major reduction in transaction costs after the integration is completed.<\/p>\n<p>The SushiSwap team anticipates that Bonsai will be live on testnet within the first quarter of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe envision the end product as an additional offering on the SushiSwap page that maintains Sushi\u2019s trademark UI and design but connects to Raydium backends,\u201d Handroll added.<\/p>\n<p>SushiSwap forked from Uniswap in late August 2020, and has grown to become one of the industry\u2019s most popular decentralized exchanges, boasting\u00a0$3.6 billion worth of locked assets, according to<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/dappradar.com\/defi\"> Dappradar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Solana\u2019s native tokens SOL and SRM have both surged by around 27% over roughly the past 12 hours.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"defi_newsletter\"><\/template><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
