A <strong>prerequisite thing<\/strong> for the transfer is your showing the animal\u2019s health booklet at check-in as well as the necessary electronic identification (microchip). For traveling abroad you must have a pet passport. The pet passport is issued by a veterinarian or by an approved breeder and is an official document.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Do_I_get_charged_for_the_cage_or_is_it_considered_as_hand_luggage\"><\/span>Do I get charged for the cage or is it considered as hand luggage?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Answer: The cage can <strong>in no way<\/strong> be considered as hand luggage! There is an additional charge for the transportation of pets, which varies per company and per flight. Different rates also apply when talking about domestic or foreign flights.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"When_should_I_inform_the_airline\"><\/span>When should I inform the airline?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Answer: Usually the company should be informed at least within 48 hours before of your flight. Of course there are some companies that can be informed within 24hrs. Only <strong>dogs<\/strong> and <strong>cats<\/strong> are allowed in the cabin. However, it would be great to also consult your veterinarian.
