We\u2019ve yet to get an official first look at the show starring <strong>Josh Duhamel<\/strong> (<em>Transformers<\/em>), but Netflix has debuted a <em>Jupiter\u2019s Legacy<\/em> teaser to announce the show\u2019s arrival this May, and it comes with a warning that is ominous yet hopeful. <span id=\"more-659049\"><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Jupiters_Legacy_Teaser_Trailer\"><\/span>Jupiter\u2019s Legacy Teaser Trailer<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jupiter\u2019s Legacy | Official Teaser | Netflix\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ESogX9uGN6Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n<!-- SlashFilm_300x250_In_Post -->Here\u2019s the official synopsis for <em>Jupiter\u2019s Legacy<\/em>, coming to Netflix on <strong>May 7, 2021<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>After nearly a century of keeping mankind safe, the world\u2019s first generation of superheroes must look to their children to continue the legacy. But tensions rise as the young superheroes, hungry to prove their worth, struggle to live up to their parents\u2019 legendary public reputations \u2014 and exacting personal standards.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Josh Duhamel is heard in voiceover in this teaser saying, \u201cOne day you\u2019re going to be stronger than anyone else in the world. Every evil you can imagine is going to rise up against mankind, not for justice, but for vengeance. And you\u2019re going to be the future.\u201d Clearly he\u2019s speaking to one of the younger superheroes who they will rely upon to protect the world, but we don\u2019t yet have a glimpse at any of the characters from the series.<\/p>\n<p>The teaser\u2019s footage isn\u2019t from the actual show, but rather an assembly of images and structures that fans of the <em>Jupiter\u2019s Legacy<\/em> comic will probably recognize. A red cape that flutters for a moment gives off a Superman vibe, as does a location that looks like it could easily be the Hall of Justice.<\/p>\n<p>Will <em>Jupiter\u2019s Legacy<\/em> be able to shake a stick at the superhero action of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the DC Extended Universe? That\u2019s a pretty tall order, but Netflix surely wants to establish a major superhero franchise of their own.
