You can even find <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.co.uk\/AttractionProductReview-g189970-d11995223-Northern_Lights_Tour_from_Reykjavik_by_Bus-Reykjavik_Capital_Region.html\">specialist companies<\/a> that are dedicated to helping you to experience the Northern Lights up close and personal.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Take_in_the_view_from_Hallgrimskirkja_Church\"><\/span>4.\u00a0\u00a0 Take in the view from Hallgrimskirkja Church<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This stunning church took decades to build and boasts beautiful basalt columns, but that\u2019s not the only reason why I recommend it. You can even find specialist tour providers who go out of their way to show you around the most iconic pieces of art on the streets of Reykjavik.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"6_Go_shopping_in_the_flea_markets\"><\/span>6.\u00a0\u00a0 Go shopping in the flea markets<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>You and the family will love browsing the trinkets and knick-knacks in Reyjavik\u2019s flea markets. You never quite know what you\u2019re going to find, and you might be surprised by some of the bargains you can pick up. It\u2019s a cheap day out and a great way to pick up some gifts and souvenirs for the folks back home.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"7_Check_out_the_thermal_pools\"><\/span>7.\u00a0\u00a0 Check out the thermal pools<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Iceland is home to a whole bunch of different thermal pools, although if I had to recommend just one then I\u2019d go for the Laugardalslaug thermal pool, which is right by the football stadium. They have everything from a regular swimming pool to an ice plunge pool, a saltwater tub, and a steam bath.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"8_Visit_the_zoo\"><\/span>8.\u00a0\u00a0 Visit the zoo<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Reykjavik\u2019s family park and zoo might not be the biggest in the world, but it is a great place to visit and it\u2019s known for being home to a number of traditional Icelandic farm animals, as well as amusement park rides that the kids will love.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"9_Go_to_the_Perlan_centre\"><\/span>9.\u00a0\u00a0 Go to the Perlan centre<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This is probably the best place to go if you want to learn more about the natural beauty of Iceland through hands-on learning experiences. It\u2019s a must-visit for anyone who\u2019s planning on visiting Iceland, but Perlan is particularly well-suited to family groups because there really is something there for everyone.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There\u2019s plenty more for you and your family to do in Iceland, of course, and so it\u2019s a good idea for you to take the itinerary that we\u2019ve suggested and to customize it to make it your own. Feel free to carry out a little research and to modify this list to further suit you.<\/p>\n<p>Remember that you can keep costs as low as possible and travel on a budget by booking things in advance where possible and taking advantage of early-bird rates.
