Dez Bryant\u2019s time with the Baltimore Ravens app<\/a>ears to be over, but the veteran wide receiver says that\u2019s not the case for his NFL career.<\/p>\n

The 32-year-old Bryant \u2014 who returned to the league after sitting out two more seasons \u2014 took to Twitter<\/a> to explain to a fan why he didn\u2019t get more opportunities with the Ravens.<\/p>\n

\u201cI realized quick Baltimore wasn\u2019t the place for me,\u201d Bryant wrote<\/a>. \u201cNo bad blood. That\u2019s their way of doing things so you gotta respect it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite Bryant\u2019s unsuccessful stint with the Ravens, the three-time Pro Bowler said he\u2019s not ready to retire.<\/p>\n

\u201cI plan on playing 2 more years and that\u2019s it for me,\u201d he tweeted.<\/p>\n

Bryant, who played eight seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, said he enjoyed his time in Baltimore, but that gaining chemistry in their run-heavy offensive system was difficult.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard. I\u2019ve been off almost three years,\u201d Bryant added. \u201cI flashed my abilities to the point [Ravens coach John] Harbaugh asked was I ready to play because he thought I was ready \u2026You have to learn the playbook \u2026 chemistry with the QB have to be on point.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryant ended the season as the No. 4 wide receiver on the depth chart of the Ravens, who had the worst passing attack in the NFL. He was behind Marquise Brown, Miles Boykin and Willie Snead IV.<\/p>\n

Bryant \u2014 who played just six game<\/a>s for Baltimore last season \u2014 also wrote that he was \u201cthankful\u201d for the opportunity the Ravens gave him and that he also had a good relationship with Lamar Jackson.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur chemistry was good on and off the field,\u201d Bryant wrote, referring to Jackson. \u201cBut it was guys there before me who understood the offensive concepts better than me. You can\u2019t jeopardize that.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wasn\u2019t bothered about playing time. I enjoyed myself. I met some great teammates, guys I feel like I will be keeping in contact for a long time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryant \u2014 who was signed to the 53-man roster on Nov. 28. \u2014 had just six receptions for 47 yards and two touchdowns during his short stint in Baltimore. He also didn\u2019t catch a pass in the Ravens\u2019 two playoff games.<\/p>\n

Bryant did put up big numbers during his time in Dallas before being released after the 2017 season. In 113 games, Bryant caught 531 passes for 7,459 yards and a franchise-record 73 touchdown catches.\n <\/p><\/div>\n
