“#’Spider-Man’ star Tom Holland reveals 2021 sequel title<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

Spider-Man is done spinning a web of lies.<\/p>\n

Tom Holland, star of Marvel Studios\u2019 web-slinging franchise, revealed on Wednesday the real title of the next, much-anticipated film sequel: \u201cSpider-Man: No Way Home.\u201d He made the announcement in a cheeky video<\/a> on social media<\/a> that implied director Jon Watts did not trust Holland to keep the actual title a secret. <\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the 24-year-old action hero and co-stars Jacob Batalon (who plays Ned Leeds) and Zendaya (MJ) had each suggested that other titles were the real title, including \u201cSpider-Man: Home-Wrecker<\/a>,\u201d \u201cSpider-Man: Home Slice<\/a>\u201d and \u201cSpider-Man: Phone Home<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

But those were fake news<\/a>, app<\/a>arently provided by Watts as a ruse.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe gave us a fake name again,\u201d Holland tells Batalon and Zendaya, both also 24, in Wednesday\u2019s reveal, which shows them walking and talking outside of Watts\u2019 Atlanta office, adding, \u201cI don\u2019t understand why he keeps doing this.\u201d <\/p>\n

That\u2019s when Batalon sums up the problem. \u201cI think it\u2019s pretty obvious: You spoil things,\u201d he tells a seemingly insulted Holland, as the video zooms in on a dry-erase board listing discarded titles scrawled around the real one.<\/p>\n

The new film \u2014 expected to be released in December<\/a>, potential COVID-19 disruptions notwithstanding \u2014 will be the third installment in the series<\/a>, which includes 2019\u2019s \u201cSpider-Man: Far From Home\u201d and 2017\u2019s \u201cSpider-Man: Homecoming.\u201d Holland\u2019s iteration of the web-slinger also appeared in the \u201cAvengers\u201d franchise movies \u201cInfinity War\u201d (2018) and \u201cEndgame<\/a>\u201d (2019).\u00a0<\/p>\n
